A new Twist on an Old story: V

I remember as a kid watching the original V series and thinking how great the show was.  I look back now and realize that the special effects were ok, and the acting was better than average but the show just wasn’t up to par.

Codex Alera was one of the best series of books I have ever read.  There I said it.  Most reviews try to stay away from what people actually think and try to support their views by how the author wrote or the plot twists.  These books are just simply great.

Stephen King’s new novel at first glance reminded me of the Simpsons movie, but that is where the similarity ended.  Even though there are a few laughs throughout the novel, this book is all King:  Scary, Thrilling, Bloody, and Serious.
